Holy Table
Noah Garber, Leeor Messulan
The motivation for our art piece is to show the overarching theme that there isn't a world without peace, Judgment, and truth. For example we portrayed this using a table. The table is holding a gavel, olive tree, and a mirror. On the table is our quote “Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates” (Zechariah 8:16). This quote represents in depth the concept of truth and peace. The gavel represents judgment. The olive tree represents peace. Lastly, The mirror represents truth. The table is supposed to represent how each of these items can be held with one big overarching idea which is a person's life. Our purpose was to show how important it is to have values in your life. The significance of our ideas is that each holds an important role in each of our lives. For example, a person who does not have these aspects in their life won't have a good one. Specific materials that we used are wood, 3d printer, and a mirror. The wood allows us to show in depth the mirror frame and the table. The 3d printer allowed us to make the gavel look realistic. Lastly, the mirror allows us to in depth show the truth because there is nothing more truthful than yourself and your reflection.
The digital part of our project does not differ from our physical part. Both have the same design and look. Although, the digital part is more in depth then the physical part. The physical part is very relatable to the digital. These effects have a meaning of how our piece is portrayed to the audience. We truly tried to show in depth how there isn't a world without peace, judgment, and truth. I think we portrayed this completely. Our audience is able to see that.
