Playing With
A Broken Heart

Our project is 2 people playing football with a heart and one person is throwing it to the other person. The meaning behind this project was to say that you shouldn’t be playing with people’s hearts. Furthermore, this depiction shows people playing with a broken heart which shows that people will sometimes play with people who are already hurt and this can be extremely damaging to a person’s mental heath.
To make our piece, we made a field out of wood and acrylic plastic shees. To create the Hebrew text within the wood, we used a laser cutter to engrave the text. Then, we used acrylic glue to fuse the different acrylic sheets together. We drilled holes in the top piece of acrylic and then hung string from the holes supporting the heart. We 3D printed the red heart, the end posts, and the people playing football.
