cotel of truth and peace

We decided to represent a theme of אמת, truth and  שלוםpeace to create a miniature model of the cotel. The cotel was one of the walls guarding our holy temple, now the holy temple is destroyed and the cotel is the only part of it standing. The cotel is one of the top places of worship for Jews and a very holy site. The cotel represents peace and truth in many ways. There have been many years of fighting and wars in order to protect the cotel and all of Jerusalem. As Jews we truly believe we belong in Israel and we will end up there one day. So the cotel is a representative of truth because in the end it’s our destiny to be there and we believe that’s the truth. We created a model of the cotel, we have many different types of people praying at the kotel. We have on top floating a peace sign and a dove to represent peace. This model means so much to us because it truly shows how much the Cotel means to Jews all around the world. Through all the Israeli wars and conflicts we still are blessed to have our cotel to pray at safely. We chose two quotes,one to represent peace, and one to
represent truth. Firstly “ישִָּׂא יהְוהָ צָּניָו אֵלֶי , ויְשֵָׂם לְ    שָלבֿם” May God lift up his face
onto you and give you peace and j shall place peace upon the land. (Leviticus 26:6). The land being referred to is Israel, and we were guaranteed peace in our lives eventually. So the Cotel is just a part of the peace that we will soon have. Secondly “Rabban Shimon ben Gamaliel used to say: on three things does the world stand: On justice, on truth and on peace
” as Jews we must live with truth in our lives we know our truth that we belong in isreal and we must stand by that. All in all we must push past the antisemitism and antizionism and stay strong. We will live in peace one day in isreal and that is the truth!
